Rituals
Ritual has long been a way for communities to honour life’s transitions. Across cultures, moments such as pregnancy, birth, and motherhood have been marked by intentional gatherings that offer care, reflection, and support.
The offerings below draw inspiration from traditions that have supported women and families in many parts of the world. They are shared with care and respect for the cultural practices that inform them and are adapted to reflect the wishes and comfort of each individual.
This work takes place in Tiohtià:ke / Montreal, on lands traditionally cared for by Indigenous peoples, including the Kanien'kehá:ka. These rituals are offered with humility and gratitude and are not intended to replicate Indigenous ceremonial traditions.
